Aryna Sabalenka

Sabalenka, who was born in Minsk (the capital city of Belarus) she was the son of Sergey. Sergey Sabalenka (d. 2019) is her father, a hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was born on 5 May 1998, in Minsk Belarus. Her career has seen her be the winner of 12 WTA singles championships, which includes a Grand Slam in the Australian Open in 2023. Additionally, she's a fantastic doubles player. She's won two more Majors to this category, including the US Open 2019 and the Australian Open 2021 won both together with Elise Mertens. Also, she achieved an incredible Sunshine Double in 2019, by winning her the WTA 1000 at Indian Wells, Miami and the Australian Open with Elise Mertens. The feat was achieved by four couples playing in female doubles. On 23 August 2021 she climbed to the second spot in the singles world ranking her highest ranking was again reached in the month of January in 2023. As a doubles player, she was able to propel herself up to first place in February of the same year after the victory in Melbourne making her the second tennis player from Belarus to achieve success in this specialty. She was trained by an ex- Russian tennis player Dmitry Tursunov from 2018 until the end of the 2019 season, and in part at the beginning of 2020. The pair also briefly worked with Dieter Kindlmann in August until September 2020. Since the end of 2020 she's been trained by her coach, Antonio Dubrov. Serena Williams & Maria Sharapova have been her inspirations.
